Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

If you create an account or log in, we collect:

• Account details: your name, email address, profile photo and phone number, depending on how you sign in.
• Sign-in method: whether you used email and password, Google, Apple, Microsoft or phone, plus a unique account ID and the time of your last login.
• Your site settings: choices such as sound, music, notifications and display options, so they follow you to other devices.
• Delivery orders: if you order food, your full name, phone number, delivery address, order notes and the items you ordered. Only the site owner can see these, and they are used only to prepare and deliver your order. Payment is in cash on delivery, so we never collect card details.
• Map lookups: if you press Find on map or Use my location at checkout, your address (or location) is sent to OpenStreetMap to show the map. The map itself is loaded from OpenStreetMap too.

If you use Google, Apple or Microsoft sign-in, we receive only your basic profile (name, email and photo) from that provider. We never receive your password for those accounts.

2. Information stored on your device

Your browser stores your settings, the music you are playing and your sign-in session in local storage. Music files you upload through the music player are saved only in your own browser. They are never uploaded to our servers. You can delete them any time in Settings.

We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

3. How we use information

• To create your account, log you in and keep you signed in.
• To verify your email address or phone number and to help you reset a forgotten password.
• To save and restore your settings across devices.
• To keep the site secure and prevent abuse and fraud.
• To respond when you contact us.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

4. Services that process your data

We use Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore) to sign you in and store your account data. When you choose phone sign-in, a text message with a verification code is sent through Google’s systems, and standard message rates from your carrier may apply. Sign-in with Google, Apple or Microsoft is handled by those companies under their own privacy policies. Our pages also load fonts from Google Fonts.

Our use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We only use your basic Google profile to sign you in and set up your account.

5. Sharing

We share information only with the service providers described above, when required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and our site. We do not share your information with other companies for their own marketing.

6. Retention and deletion

We keep your account data until you ask us to delete it. To delete your account and the data stored with it, use the contact page and tell us the email or phone number you signed in with. You can also clear your local settings and uploaded music at any time in Settings.

7. Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, sign out at any time, and turn off music, sounds and notifications in Settings. If you are in a region with additional privacy rights, such as the EU, UK or California, you can exercise them through the contact page.

8. Security

Account data is stored with Google Firebase, which uses encryption in transit, and our database rules allow each person to read and write only their own account data. No online service is completely secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

9. Children

MasterChefHub is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
